Saturday, December 4, 2010, NO/AIDS Task Force will present the 24th annual Art Against AIDS art auction and holiday gala at The Shops at Canal Place.
This year's event will feature a patron ornament sale with works by locally and nationally acclaimed artists and a silent auction of items and gift certificates from area merchants. School children will be creating ornaments and other works of art for our retail space. Some of the area's finest restaurants and caterers will be serving delectable delights and Absolut Vodka and Coors Beer will be flowing freely.

Our regions rich cultural community provides the perfect frame for Art Against AIDS. It was this community that came together in 1987 in response to the early devastating effects of the AIDS epidemic in the New Orleans area to found this event. Today Art Against AIDS is one of the city's premiere holiday galas that spotlights the eclectic collection of the area's visual arts community and their works, the culinary arts featuring some of New Orleans finest restaurants, and entertainment provided by the best of the city's nightlife all under one roof. To date, Art Against AIDS has raised over $1.4 million to support the vital services of the NO/AIDS Task Force.
