The annual Empowerment conference will be held September 10th, 2010 at the New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center, located at 859 Convention Center Blvd. This free educational conference, designed for consumers and providers, has helped to bring the latest information on HIV/AIDS to our community for over 11 years.

The conference features 13 presentations with over 15 presenters. Some of the local speakers include: Dr. Ronald Wilcox, Dr. David Mushatt, Dr. Lynn Besch and Chad Youngblood, JD. In addition, over 15 vendors will be on-site sharing information about their products/services.

Registration begins at 8:00 am with the conference starting at 9:00 am – ending with a reception from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm for HIV positive people only. Special room rate of $89 are being offered by the hotel for September 9th to 11th.
