On September 25, 2005, NO/AIDS Task Force, a community based AIDS service organization, would have held its 16th Annual NO/AIDS Walk, the organization‚Äö?Ñ?¥s largest fundraiser. Due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, not only was the Walk cancelled but some of the agency‚Äö?Ñ?¥s offices were flooded and damaged, and staff, clients and volunteers were dispersed throughout the country. The combination of Hurricane Katrina and the loss of revenue from the annual Walk means a much greater loss of the life saving services NO/AIDS provides.

New Orleans, LA (Nov 4, 2005)- In less than a months time, NO/AIDS Task Force has already raised $25,000 with it‚Äö?Ñ?¥s first ever Virtual Walk. Their 16th annual NO/AIDS Walk was cancelled this year due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The cancellation of their largest annual fundraiser meant they had to come up with another way to raise funds for their vital services in this difficult time.
