Where to Dine Out For Life: Feelin Fancy?
Sometimes you just feel like getting dressed up and having a nice night on the town. There’s just something about being wined and dined that sets the soul right, and there’s no better time to do it than Dining Out For Life. So if the girls feel like getting gussied up and the dudes are looking dapper, we’ve got some great suggestions for where you can dine on Thursday.
- Bayona: As if we even need to tell you that Bayona’s exceptional service, award-winning cuisine, and fabulous wine list will help make it the perfect setting for a swanky night out in NOLA.
- The Bombay Club: Spend just five minutes in the Bombay Club, and you’ll feel like you should be placing high-wager bets on how long it will take you to travel around the globe. Just this side of decadent, you’ll feel like British aristocracy, but with New Orleans flair. (just go with us on this . . .) And with a $25 lobster special, you can feel extravagant without breaking the bank.
- Broussard’s: Located in the heart of the French Quarter, this restaurant is practically dripping with old-world New Orleans history and tradition. Chef Gunter Preuss commands a kitchen that turns out superb classic Creole dishes, with a focus on what he does best – seafood. It all makes for an experience that can best be described as divine. Fittingly so, since Chef Preuss has cooked for a laundry list of famous people, not the least of which is Pope.
- The Flaming Torch: Nothing says indulgent like French cuisine. They’ve practically made butter its own food group, for crying out loud. Why not head to Flaming Torch to try some of the city’s best French food? This little gem of a restaurant, located just off Magazine St. on Octavia promises to provide all the indulgence you can handle in an intimate setting.
- The Steak Knife: There’s just something about a really good steak at a really good steakhouse. Go for something classic like a steak cooked to perfection with potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach, while you’re serenaded by the sultry sounds of Anais St. John, who’s performing on Thursday night. Add a bottle of wine into the mix, and it sounds like Thursday is the new Friday.
