Where to Dine Out For Life: The Lunch Edition

Dining Out For Life is not just for dinner anymore. We’ve got places for lunch (and breakfast, too). Whether you’re going out with folks from the office or want to grab a bit while you’re out running around, here’s some places that’ll satisfy your need for a midday meal:

Between the Bread: One of the CBD’s newest deli’s offering fresh & delicious breakfast and lunch fare. Centrally located on St. Charles Avenue, across the street from Lafayette Square, it makes for a nice walk from your office. And if the weather’s nice, grab one of their blankets and have a picnic in the park. If the weather is not-so-nice, they deliver.

Cafe at the Square: Located a whole block away from Between the Bread, and owned by the same lovely folks, Cafe at the Square also does a solid breakfast and lunch, but with a few entrees thrown in the mix. If you’ve got more time to spare, we suggest grabbing a table and looking out over the park and taking 30 minutes to pretend you’re not part of the rat race.

Gott Gourmet Cafe: With a menu that features salads and sandwiches that go beyond your standard deli fare, Gott Gourmet Cafe has proved to be a pretty popular spot on Magazine Street in the heart of the Garden District. So whether you work in the neighborhood, are out shopping for the day, or need a break from studying at the coffee shop, this place is sure to please. Plus they have some pretty awesome daily specials.

Rooba’s Crescent Spoon: How can you not love a place that’s home to the weenie panini? With a great selection of salads, sandwiches, paninis and a build-your-own burger, Rooba’s satisfies a load of lunch cravings on Veterans Blvd near Causeway. Just for Dining Out For Life, they are staying open till 9:00 pm on Thursday, so you can grab dinner here if you can’t make it for lunch!

Who Dat Coffee Cafe/Cafe Nero: This Marigny coffee shop and cafe has small but delicious selection for both breakfast and lunch. What’s really exciting though is that on Thursday for Dining Out For Life they are premiering their new evening menu and incarnation, Cafe Nero.
